We’ve spent £100m, 9th is the absolute minimum.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread 4-3FT
It’s not just one bad performance is it though?
We’ve proven that we can compete with anyome in this league, the wins against Arsenal Man Utd and draws v Chelsea Liverpool prove that, the thing is though the top trend come to play and leave gaps behind to allow us to play.
The lesser teams sit back and chase us all over the park and we’re clueless at how to deal with it and it’s happening far too often to just write it off as a bad day at the office.

Sven pretty true that, Twitter is much worse than on here mind, so much so I dread even looking at it after a defeat

I think some people are just HYSTERICAL
A bad performance means the manager is no good , and a player or players are useless and should never play again.
A good performance sees them quiet
We are a work in progress. Things need to change in the squad and having had two summer windows I think people can then question the Managers direction.
I think he needs to clear the old, the crippled & the time wasters and make us harder to beat & more resilient while being entertaining. He also needs to get more out of ALL of the players he retains.
The end of 2019 is when he can be judged for mine.
I’d give him a progress score of about 6.5 out of 10.

I'm all for everyone being allowed an opinion, constructive criticism of players and manager is one thing, but when you're calling for a manager's head when we are fucking 9th, then expect that opinion to be cunted off.

i'm all for criticism, becoming a massive hysterical blouse who thinks we need to sack the manager, bin off the players and prepare for relegation because we are at that point losing a game of football that we go on to win is something else though.

i'm not going to tell people how they should and shouldn't react, but it certainly shows some people's cards. can't imagine them faring well through an air raid like their relatives did.

Why do the BBC insist on having woman on MotD when you will never, ever see a man as a pundit for a womans’ match?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread 4-3FT
People are entitled to criticise performances like yesterday, it doesn’t mean they’re any less of a fan or that they’re happy we’re losing!
We all want what’s best for the team, but have different opinions on how to get there, the end goal is the same for us all.
We obviously have a massive motivation problem with Pellegrini, I can’t see that changing no matter how much we do or do not throw at the squad, if you can’t best Cardiff Burnley Wimbledon etc adding to the squad ain’t going to help unless you’re taking £50m plus players which lets be honest, not happening.
If I was Sullivan I’d be very concerned how things are panning out and would definitely be reluctant in handing Pellegrini a war chest this summer.

It's difficult to criticize Lanzini as he's been away for so long, but even before the injury there wasn't many goals in him.
He is a good player, but I would like him to be more goal bound

Hopefully we will not be as financially constrained as has been suggested. I’m sure that we are just not trying to give the game away that we have money to spend.

Is it me or does Hernandez seem to look more threatening to score when Nasri is playing?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread 4-3FT
Problem with a midfield of Anderson, Nasri, Lanzini and Rice is obvious and even Huddersfield were almost able to take advantage yesterday at 3-3.

Maybe start with Nasri rather than Lanzini these days.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread 4-3FT
Tough on Ogbonna similar to last year he's come in and performed reasonably and I know it's a squad game but we'd be struggling without him, but we have to move forward and I'd do the same

I'd also like to see Lanzini play alongside Rice until the end of the season with either Nasri or Arnie playing off Hernandez

Diop can have a two week rest until Everton.
I’d put him and the General back together then

North Bank 2:27 Sun Mar 17
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread
We miss the General at the back, he's the leader that seems to organise things, him and Diop were forming a decent partnership and maybe Noble was right in that Diop is only a kid and has played almost every game this season and needs a rest

We really do need to find ourselves a decent striker that can lead the line and net a few, but again we have no cash, so unless we can get some funds for Arnie and Perez this won't be happening anytime soon

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread
I feel we’re playing a bit like a team who knows they are completely safe but also knows they are probably not overhauling anyone in front of us. This is the attitude we need to shed if we are to progress. Approach every game like it’s a cup final. That’s the mentality the top teams ALWAYS possess, whether it’s against a title rival or bottom of the league.

We were pretty bad for most of the match, came alive at the end and got lucky. Very entertaining though.

Clearly there’s work to be done in the summer, but I just want to see them with the foot on the pedal for ALL the remaining matches. Not playing like it’s not all that important.

Goals on Sunday just pointed out that we've got the most points from losing positions. Usually were shite at that

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread
It’s mental attitude, we all know and seen how the team can play, they all had other things on their mind before the int break that was more important than the match

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread
13 yes We would be comfortably 7th if we had not lost the opening 4 and just one or two others '

Two of our opening 4 games, were Liverpool away and Arsenal away. We seldom get any points in those games, regardless of when we play them.

We also lost at home to Wolves, which given the season they are having, could have happened at any time also.

Sven Roeder 12:05 Sun Mar 17
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Huddersfield - Official Match Thread 4-3FT
MOTD pointed out the lack of communication between Diop and Ogbonna when balls come into the middle.
How many goals have we seen like the first two?
Free header in the middle of the box or a low ball played across our six yard box and someone unmarked poked it in.
I’d bring Balbuena back as he is an organiser ... no coincidence that our piss poor away form recently has happened with him out.
And it’s time to pension off Zabaleta and see if Fredericks and Johnson can handle right back.
